20’ Drift Boat
The 20’ drift boat is the standard in Alaska, especially on the Kenai River. Wide, stable platforms designed for comfort and precision. Meant to be rowed by a single oarsman with 10-12’ oars. Anglers most often sit in front of the guide; this makes the vessel easier to slow down as the current slips beneath it. Compared to a raft a drift boat feels like a Ferrari. What makes a good drift boat is not so much how shiny and fancy it is but the oarsman behind the oars. The oarsman or guide is the one who puts the boat where it needs to be, safety being the first priority and then the ability to put the boat over fish in a way the angler can engage and do battle with the targeted species. All this should be done in a respectful, educated, and sustainable way. We strive to do all of the above, as well as keep a clean ship with the highest safety features and comfort in the class. Five-star all the way. You’re gunna have fun on the Kenai! We have a new vessel for 2020, a custom built 20.5 foot River Wolf. The ultimate rowing machine making it easier for the oarsman to put you on more and bigger fish!
